ANDORRA TRAVEL SERVICE · PLATINUM
Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Andorra Travel Service ATS SL (Andorra) operates ATS Platinum and is the controller of personal data processed for this website and our Platinum enquiries and travel arrangements. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer only to Andorra Travel Service ATS SL (Andorra).
NRT: L-714463-R. Address: El Feixa de Peretol, Plaça del Piol, Soldeu, Canillo, Andorra. Telephone: +376 852220. Email: platinum@andorratravelservice-platinum.com.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy explains how we use personal information when you visit andorratravelservice-platinum.com, contact our team or ask us to arrange travel. The Platinum website is a brochure and enquiry website. It does not provide customer accounts or an online checkout. Its enquiry tool prepares a message for you to send through your own email application or WhatsApp; completing the fields alone does not send your enquiry to us.
3. Information we receive
We receive the information you choose to send to us, such as your name, email address, telephone number, travel dates, party size, children’s ages, preferred accommodation, room choices, activities and other requirements. When we arrange a booking, we may also need traveller and payment information relevant to the services requested. Please do not provide another person’s personal data unless we ask for it and you are entitled to share it.
We keep correspondence and information about our relationship with you so that we can answer your requests and manage your arrangements. Website delivery and security infrastructure may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details and requests for pages. The language preference information stored by this website is described below.
4. How we use information
- To respond to enquiries and prepare quotations and travel proposals.
- To arrange and provide the services you request, manage payments and refunds, and communicate about your booking.
- To maintain customer and business records, improve customer service, and manage complaints.
- To protect our website and business, prevent fraud or other crime, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- To meet legal obligations and, where you have consented, send marketing communications.
Depending on the purpose, we process information to take steps at your request before entering a contract, perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation, pursue legitimate interests in administering and protecting our business and customer relationships, or with your consent. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before it.
5. Sharing information
We may share the information needed to fulfil your arrangements with hotels, transport operators, ski schools, equipment providers, activity suppliers and other suppliers involved in your booking. Payment providers receive the information needed to process payments, refunds and related queries. Our communications and hosting providers may process information as needed to deliver their services.
We may also disclose information to insurers and professional advisers where needed for insurance, risk management, advice or legal claims, and to public authorities where required by law. Disclosure may be necessary to protect vital interests or prevent fraud or other crime. If our business or assets are transferred, relevant customer information may form part of that transfer.
6. International processing
Our business is based in Andorra. Providing your travel arrangements and using communications, payment and hosting services may involve processing information in other countries. Where an international transfer is subject to data-protection requirements, the applicable safeguards must be respected. Contact us for information about the recipients and transfers relevant to your enquiry or booking.
7. Retention and security
Personal data is not kept longer than necessary for its purposes. Under our existing retention policy, customer account records relating to purchases or enquiries are retained for a minimum of 6 years following a purchase or enquiry and a maximum of 10 years following the last booking or enquiry. We may retain information where needed to comply with legal obligations, protect vital interests or establish, exercise or defend legal claims. This business-record policy is separate from the browser preferences described below.
We take reasonable precautions to protect personal information and limit access to those who need it for their work. The website uses HTTPS to protect information in transit. No system can guarantee absolute security. Please take care when sending personal information and when using a shared device.
8. Your data-protection rights
Subject to the conditions and exceptions in applicable data-protection law, your rights may include access to your data, correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent and a complaint to the competent supervisory authority. These rights are not absolute; for example, information may need to be kept to comply with legal obligations or defend legal claims.
You may ask whether we process your data and request a copy and information about the purposes, data categories and recipients. The first copy is provided free of charge; additional copies may be subject to a reasonable fee, where permitted. You may object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
To exercise your rights or raise a privacy concern, write to platinum@andorratravelservice-platinum.com or the Andorra address above. Please describe your request clearly. You may also complain to the competent data-protection authority.
9. Browser storage and language preferences
The language feature reads your supported browser-language preferences to offer an optional suggestion. It does not request precise device location and does not automatically redirect you. The website stores your selected language under ats-platinum-language and your dismissal of the suggestion under ats-platinum-language-dismissed in localStorage, with sessionStorage as a fallback when localStorage is unavailable.
These values remain on your device until you clear the site’s stored data, or for the browser session when sessionStorage is used. They remember your choice so that the suggestion does not keep reappearing. You can clear them in your browser’s site-data settings. This does not delete booking or enquiry records held by our team. Services you open through external links may use their own cookies and storage.
10. Email, WhatsApp and external websites
When you choose to send an enquiry by email or WhatsApp, the service you use processes the message under its own terms and privacy policy. Links to hotels, resorts, maps and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Please review those policies before providing information. Our policy covers our own handling of information received by ATS Platinum.
11. Children
We do not sell products or services directly to children. If you are under 18, use this website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. An adult arranging a family trip may provide the children’s information needed for the requested services.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy by publishing a new version on this website. Please review it periodically. Where appropriate, we may notify you of significant changes by email.
